2014 Jaguar Crossover
2014 Jaguar Crossover
It is believed that a crossover will help Jaguar’s sales. And this statement should come as no surprise. Imagine how many people will be interested in a crossover with a design similar to the recently launched XJ sedan and with a luxurious interior.
The future Jaguar crossover will be built on the same platform as the recently launched Land Rover Evoque. It will be an all-wheel-drive model powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder. You wouldn’t have expected to see a four-cylinder engine in a Jaguar crossover, right? But taken under consideration the current situation, it seems to be the perfect choice. A four-cylinder engine will ensure a low fuel consumption, and in turbocharged version will deliver enough power to offer great performance numbers for the crossover.
The list of competitors will start with the Land Rover Evoque and will also include models like Audi Q5 or BMW X3. The Evoque is powered by a 2.0-liter Si4 turbocharged engine that combines direct fuel injection and twin variable valve timing. In USA it will be priced from around $45k.
